A Sparkling Success: The First Annual Lakeport Lighted Boat Parade
Lakeport was aglow with holiday cheer on Saturday, November 30, as the community gathered for the first annual Lakeport Lighted Boat Parade. The event, a new tradition for the area, brought together locals and visitors alike for an evening of festive fun and dazzling displays on Clear Lake.
Eleven beautifully decorated boats participated in the parade, each one uniquely adorned with twinkling lights, holiday ornaments, and creative themes. The flotilla sparkled against the calm waters of Clear Lake, providing a magical spectacle for the hundreds of attendees who lined the shore. The evening’s weather was crisp but clear, creating perfect conditions for the event.
Adding to the charm, fire pits were strategically placed by the snack bar, inviting families and friends to gather and roast marshmallows. The scent of toasted marshmallows mingled with the cool lake air, enhancing the cozy, festive atmosphere.
The highlight of the evening came when the parade concluded, and all eyes turned to Xabatin Community Park, where the community’s giant Christmas tree stood tall. This year’s tree, an impressive 10 feet taller than last year’s, was officially lit by none other than Santa Claus himself. The crowd erupted in cheers as thousands of lights illuminated the tree, symbolizing the start of the holiday season in Lakeport.
The Lakeport Lighted Boat Parade was more than just a visual treat; it was a celebration of community spirit and creativity. The event’s success was evident in the smiles of attendees, the excitement of participants, and the overwhelming turnout. As Lakeport embraces this new tradition, residents and visitors alike are already looking forward to next year’s parade.
Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and attended this spectacular event. Here’s to many more years of holiday magic on the shores of Clear Lake!
