Walnut Harvest Dinner

Join us for an unforgettable evening celebrating one of Lake County’s treasured agricultural products at the Walnut Harvest Dinner, Friday, October 9, under the beautiful gazebo at Xabatin Community Park in Lakeport.

Four talented local chefs and culinary favorites—Ripe Choice Farm, On The Waterfront, Ferrigno’s Italian Baked Goods, and Santana’s Cottage—are coming together to create an extraordinary five-course, walnut-themed dinner celebrating the flavors of fall and the bounty of our local community.

The evening begins with a spectacular grazing table, featuring walnut-inspired appetizers created by other local Lakeport restaurants. Then, settle in beneath the gazebo for five beautifully prepared courses, each showcasing walnuts in creative and delicious ways.

Enjoy live music throughout dinner, adding the perfect soundtrack to an evening of exceptional food, local talent, and community spirit.

Tammy Lipps – Ripe Choice Farm & Catering

Tammy Lipps, owner and chef of Ripe Choice Farm & Catering, brings her passion for fresh, locally sourced ingredients and creative, from-scratch cooking to the Lakeport Walnut Harvest Dinner. With a focus on seasonal flavors and farm-to-table cuisine, Tammy loves showcasing the incredible bounty of Lake County and turning locally grown ingredients into memorable dishes. Her culinary talents and commitment to supporting local farmers and producers make her a perfect addition to this special five-course celebration of Lake County’s walnut harvest.

Bob Santana – Santana’s Cottage Café & Catering

Bob Santana, owner and chef of Santana’s Cottage Café & Catering, brings his love of flavorful, comforting cuisine and his years of experience to the Lakeport Walnut Harvest Dinner. Known for creating delicious dishes that bring people together, Bob takes pride in using quality ingredients and adding his own creative touch to every plate. His participation in this special five-course dinner highlights the talent of Lake County’s local culinary community and promises to make the walnut-themed celebration a memorable experience for everyone at the table.

Denise Flaig – Ferrigno’s Italian Baked Goods

Denise Flaig, owner and baker of Ferrigno’s Italian Baked Goods, is known throughout Lake County for her delicious handcrafted breads, pastries, and traditional Italian specialties. With a passion for baking and a dedication to quality ingredients, Denise creates memorable flavors that celebrate both family traditions and local products. Her creativity and talent make her a wonderful addition to the Lakeport Walnut Harvest Dinner, where she will help showcase the versatility of Lake County walnuts as part of an unforgettable five-course culinary experience.

Nicky Hind, Piano

Nicky Hind is a composer and pianist.  Orginally from Scotland,he has settled in Lake County.  Following studies in compositon at Stanford University during the 1990’s, he worked for Sony Computer Entertainment, writing music and developing game audio software.  These days he writes music for concert and film projets.  He also performs music for solo piano.
