Stars of the Season
New Moon at the Taylor Observatory
Join us at the Taylor Observatory on the darkest night of the month as we look deeply into the night sky. Countless stars, nebula, and galaxies are revealed in the dark of a moonless night. Come inside the planetarium to learn what strange and beautiful objects exist in the night Sky. Learn what constellations can be viewed and some of the ancient stories associated with them.
After this one-hour presentation (weather permitting) guests are invited outside for a tour of the night sky and to view celestial wonders through Taylor Observatory’s powerful telescopes.
Weather you’re a seasoned astronomer or just curious about the cosmos, this event promises to be an unforgettable experience. This event is open to all Lake County families. This event will be hosted by Lake County Office of Education Astronomy expert Angelo Parisi.
