Planning for a Resilient Future in Lake County 🌎

The Lake County, City of Clearlake, and City of Lakeport have completed a Climate Vulnerability Analysis that takes a close look at how climate change hazards could affect our communities.

🔎 What the study found:

• Biggest risks: Wildfire and smoke, followed by severe weather, flooding, and drought.

• Most vulnerable populations: People of color and immigrant communities, outdoor workers (such as farmworkers), households in poverty, tribal community members, older adults, and people with chronic illnesses or disabilities.

• At-risk community assets: Energy and communication infrastructure, homes, transportation systems, and agriculture as a key economic driver.

📋 What’s next?

We’re creating a Climate Adaptation Plan – a roadmap for preparing for and responding to these climate challenges – and we need your input!

✅ Take the community survey (just 5–10 minutes) to share your thoughts on the findings, ideas for building resilience, and barriers to climate projects. Your local knowledge and lived experience will help shape a plan that reflects our community’s needs.
